24-Hour Care Every Day of the Year For 40 years, the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) has provided high-quality, comprehensive medical care to the communities of Revere, Chelsea, Winthrop, and East Boston. We are the leading health care provider in our service area, and among the largest community health centers in the country. EBNHC provides 350,000 patient visits per year—more than any other ambulatory care center in New England. Since opening our doors in 1970, the health center has operated 24/7/365—and has grown to become the only health center in New England, and one of the few in the country, to provide continuous care.
Designated Satellite Emergency Facility Our Urgent Care Department was recently designated as Satellite Emergency Facility—now recognized as the only Emergency Department in East Boston. We deliver 1,000 babies annually at Boston Medical Center, and our Pediatrics Department cares for almost every child living in East Boston.
