Chamber of Commerce… It’s our business to help yours...
1. Group Health & Dental Insurance:
Revere Chamber of Commerce membership provides small businesses access to group
discount rates from participating health and dental insurance providers. Businesses
with less than 10 employees can choose from Delta Dental, Harvard Pilgrim Health
Care, Tufts Health Plan, and a variety of others.
2. Government Representation:
Revere Chamber of Commerce organizes and participates in a variety of events and
“summits” with the aim to keep the business community apprised of important issues
that may impact the local business and residential communities. With the strength
of our members, the Chamber works to accomplish what may be difficult or impossible
to achieve individually.
3. Networking Opportunities:
The Chamber hosts and participates in a number of events and activities each year.
By attending one of these events or working on a project committee, you open the
door to many opportunities and possibilities for you and your business. You strengthen
your position within the local business community by working with other business
people and community leaders. You bring good exposure to your business (committee
work is great publicity!). You advance positive ideas and objectives within the
community and committee work is the first step in becoming eligible for the Chamber
Board of Directors.
4. Advertising & Publicity:
The Chamber helps organize Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies for Grand Openings and new
location celebrations. The Chamber also prepares regular news releases including
membership news and related topics.
5. Member-to-Member Discount Programs:
Many members offer discounts or special limited promotions to other members to promote
their businesses and to strengthen membership unity. The Chamber issues annual Membership
Cards and lists of participating member businesses.
6. Membership Directory & Community Guide:
As a service to our members, the Chamber produces an annual Membership Directory
& Community Guide as a resource for residents and visitors. Current Chamber
members are listed twice for free, once under the category heading of their choice
and once alphabetically. The Membership Directory & Community Guide is a handy
business-to-business reference tool that members can use to contact one another
to exchange ideas and other information. The Chamber distributes hundreds of directories
each year, by request and free of charge.
7. Business Speakers:
The Chamber holds quarterly meetings where members and their guests can hear industry
experts and local, state, and federal officials discuss business issues and industry
trends. Our Business Speaker Series receive good coverage in the local press, provide
useful information and great networking opportunities and publicity for all who
attend.
8. Business Referrals:
The Chamber receives hundreds of calls each year for every type of business, service
and product. It is our policy to refer to Chamber members first.
9. Newsletters:
The Chamber produces a monthly newsletter full of useful information about issues
and projects that may impact your business, upcoming events and spotlight columns.
We include membership announcements, news and events. Members can also elect to
have an advertising flyer inserted free of charge twice per calendar year, on a
limited first-come, first-served basis, into our newsletter. This benefit alone
could save you the cost of your membership investment.
10. Internet Exposure:
The Chambers Website is informative and is currently undergoing an extreme makeover.
Every member listed free of charge in alphabetical order along with a listing under
a business category of their choice. Members who have their own website can choose
to link their names from the Chambers member directory. Part of the upgrade of the
website will include the ability of each member to have a bio page link; this will
be available during phase two of the website makeover.
